Description
To create Colours and Shapes, Elisabeth (Strathpine), Renata Buziak uses an experimental photographic process that she developed and called the biochrome. This process fuses plant samples and photographic emulsions over a period of time, allowing organic decomposition to transform both materials into new, abstract, yet often accurately depicted, images of plants.
“Some people call it a messy garden, because it’s got no lovely beds, the plants are allowed to do more or less – within reason – whatever they want to do. And if one wants to take over, it just gets cut back a little bit and put into its place.” Elisabeth
